They actually changed Aloy’s face a tiny bit. I love it. While it is hard to describe. It could be the facial animations are better, but there is a difference. It’s very subtle, but definitely noticeable.
Sasha “Scarlett” Hostyn has qualified for GSL 2017 Season 1 Code S, becoming the first woman to compete in the top Korean league and the first foreigner to compete there since Ilyes “Stephano” Satouri played in spring 2013.
I’m so happy for her! However was she the first to qualify? I thought there were other foreigners who qualified as well Jinro and Idea qualified in 2011?… If I remember right it was an open tournament I think
Check out some Best Of Scarlett!

Well Ready Player One is a gamer’s version of Willy Wonka from Roald Dahl:
When the creator of an MMO called the Oasis dies, he releases a video in which he challenges all Oasis users to find his Easter Egg, which will give the finder his fortune. Wade Watts finds the first clue and starts a race for the Egg.
Gaming has changed so much for me over the years. I used to look forward to that one big game on the horizon but lately it has begun to spread out. I guess I have more money now and can afford more. 2017 has a lot of titles that have really made the top of my list. This is this years wishlist.
- Persona 5
- Torment: Tides of Numenera
- Divinity: Original Sin 2
The first for outstanding writing and characters, the second for endless roleplaying hijinks with friends (plus the battles are tactical and fun).
- Final Fantasy XII Remastered
- Final Fantasy VII Remastered
- Mass Effect Andromeda
I am crossing my fingers for a PC versions of Final Fantasy.
- Kingdom Hearts 2.8 (Pre-ordered)
- Kingdom Hearts 3
- Zelda: Breath of the Wild
I am so excited for this! just got a PS4 a few weeks ago almost exclusively for KH. I grew up with the KH series and it’s still my favorite game series to this date.
I love/hate this game and that is why I am looking forward to it.
This game is the obsessive compulsive grinder’s NIGHTMARE. I”ve started the game 3 times over and all of those times I’d spend a good amount of 10 or so hours grinding in the first dessert when Migelo sends you to recover his stuff.
In all honesty I have never even finished the game.
Before I do I always get a little tired of it and give up 10 hours before the end boss.
I ended up watching the rest of the story on youtube instead. Which left me a little unfulfilled.
This game is still fun though. Don’t be mistaken. Probably one of the best in the series and my 5th favorite despite never beating it. I can’t wait to get it in HD on Steam.
Have you ever been playing a game and you suddenly get this girl-on-girl hate? This is “one-of-the-guys” or “the cool girl” syndrome.
Some girls believe putting down other girls will make them safer by endearing themselves to guys as tough and edgy.
It does – temporarily. The moment they do something the guys don’t approve of, though, that safety is gone.
It happens a lot with minorities as well. People try to fit in and if the community they belong to is bad towards a gender or race they tend to copy it.
It is a shame really.
I have seen talk about Zelda: Breath of the Wild looking like it’s trying to be Horizon Zero Dawn.
For those of you who have been following Zero Dawn, you can start to see how the game is going to be pan out.
And with what I have seen from BOTW, it actually seems like it will be superior. I don’t like admitting that, but I’m not going to be a delusional fan either.
That’s just my opinion, the truth is we don’t really know which one will be the better game, but they are coming out in the same week so we will know very soon! Horizon Zero Dawn and Guerilla Games need to deliver if they can make something else than shooters.
Zelda games are always incredible good. The graphics are sure not the best, but just watching the newest trailer gave me already chills. And gameplay wise has Zelda more to offer with hatching, cooking, sliding with the shield, para-gliding and the new abilities.
What i want to say is, that both games have the potential to be outstanding. Interesting how they now both releases only 2 days apart from each other.
I honestly don’t see the issue with them launching the same week as the release of the Switch. However, I don’t need to make any hard decisions about buying a new console or buying a new game in the same release window. I know that not everyone has that luxury. I honestly don’t see anything hurting them if they decided to move up the release of Horizon.
My only issue is I have been dying to play HZD, but my fav series of all time is Zelda. Which is now gonna be out 4 days later.
Part of me wants to wait and just play Zelda first. I’ve been waiting almost 6 years for new Zelda, while I’ve only been waiting maybe 6 months for HZD and I’m worried I may subconsciously rush through horizon to get to Zelda.
I also wanna play Zelda first since its only 900p, while i just bought a 4k tv and pro for HZD. So if i play Zelda after its going to look just awful.
When you get asked to host a co-ed baby shower the chances that you will make it about games is pretty high, especially when the majority of guest, excluding the MIL were into the topic anyway.
Last weekend we hosted a co-ed baby shower for our friend and her husband.
I would have preferred a little more interaction, but the men hung out in the garage and drank beer and smoked cigars for the majority of the afternoon.
The couple didn’t have a problem getting their own gifts for the baby, so we just left registries off the invitation. After all this is a couple that could pre-order the box set of No Man’s Sky, I don’t need to say more than that.
The couple choose the shower and the same went for the invitations which were game related, but oddly the rest of the party sort of ignored that part of the theme. Save some spare decorations it wasn’t much more than a glorified party.
When we first planned it the mom-to-be was all against baby shower games. Even hubby’s suggestion of a local tournament was met with distaste. But it is a shower so naturally games are a must at a baby shower and finding options that fit the theme and don’t suck are something that I made my personal mission. I wouldn’t say that I hate all the baby shower games but a lot of them are pretty lame.
Bingo is one of those classic BS games that gets played a lot. And allas it is easy so that is why people play it, but this time it was a little different since we made it participation through observation.
It went like this: give everyone a blank bingo card. Have them fill it out with what they think momma is going to receive. As momma is opening gifts have them mark off if they were right. Call Bingo when they have five in a row. It keeps people interested while opening gifts.
We had a another game, but it really just consisted of smashing a pinata that looked like some sort of generic game character to pieces.
There were also voluntary advice envelopes. Which simply comes down to having a bunch of small cards with envelopes.
Everyone can write a bit of advice on a card, and seal it in an envelope. On the envelope, they write when to open it. “First time baby cries for no reason,” “First time you have to leave baby with a babysitter,” etc.
But as long as there’s good food and drinks, guests don’t need to play games.
I just remember the very fist game I ever saw of Starcraft. It was at a big Korean tourney and a foreigner was playing his very first game in Korea. The casters kept mentioning the fact of how huge this game was for his career.
And then the Korean just proxy gated him and the game ended after a “one zealot one stalker on each side” micro battle. That game is what caught my interest for this game.
